The Division of Sport and Youth Affairs placed second in the annual Blue Day competition as part of the annual Tobago Blue Food Festival. The DSYA competed against other Divisions in the Tobago House of Assembly and private sector entities for bragging rights on Friday, October 18, 2019.

“A Blueish Family Reunion” was the theme chosen by the DSYA for its presentation, which highlighted how blue food (Dasheen) saved the “Blueish family”. It included a video, food samples and a special appearance from King Dasheen. Some of the unique treats we featured were: Dasheen Ice-cream, Dasheen Buss-up Shut, Dasheen Punch de creme and even Dasheen chips.

The full results of the Blue Day competition are as follows:
1st place Division of Finance and the Economy
2nd place Divison of Sport and Youth Affairs
3rd place Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation
