Elite Eagles bested opponents Dream Team 35-33 during the finals of the inaugural Net-Ash Foundation Mixed Netball League 2020, walking away with a $5000 prize in the process. The showdown took place at the Shaw Park Hard Court on Sunday February 2. Notably, the Elite Eagles also won the Knockout Competition which opened the league, and proceeded to dominate the tournament with an unbeaten streak. Police X settled into third place after defeating Spartans 44-32. The DSYA was pleased to support the Foundation, and by extension the league, in its efforts to enhance Tobago’s sporting landscape. The league began on January 11 and featured a Big Four Competition as well. Several individual awards were also distributed to players during the league’s closing ceremony and prize giving.
