The Tobago Cricket Association (TCA) opened the domestic cricket season on Saturday (February 1st, 2020) with the Community Shield Tournament (30 overs) featuring last season’s 40 overs and T20 champions. The tournament took place at the Cyd Gray Sporting Complex, Roxborough. The action then continued on Sunday (February 2nd, 2020) with the annual TCA Five Overs Tournament at the Canaan/Bon Accord Recreation Ground. Roxborough Strikers and Airports Authority were declared joint winners of this tournament.

Results emerging from the Community Shield Tournament are as follows:

Club Crusoe 119 for 7 (20) – (Leron Lezama 57, Kwani Thomas 17*; Jahron Alfred 3/10) vs Roxborough Strikers (Purple) 107 (17) – (Jahron Alfred 26, Clinton Brooks 25; Marvin Grant 4/25, Kwani Thomas 3/8) – Club Crusoe won by 12 runs.

Results emerging from the Five Overs Tournament are as follows:

Roxborough Strikers (Purple) and Airports Authority (Olive and Black) were declared joint champions of the Tobago Cricket Association Five Overs Tournament. Due to bad light, Airports Authority could not take the crease to chase 20 runs for victory. Seven (7) of the eight (8) registered teams participated in the tournament. The teams were divided into two groups with the top teams from each group contesting the final for the first place prize of $5,000. As such, the prize money was split between the finalists. Renaldo Lezama hit the highest individual score of the day with a smashing 64 runs against Scarborough/Mason Hall. Police CC (Yellow and Green) had the highest team total of 93 against Georgia(Yellow and Black).

The upcoming 40 overs league competition is carded for Saturday 8th February 2020.
