AQUA WARRIORS SET SIGHTS ON PAN-AM MASTERS

Assistant Coach of the Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors, National Swimmer and former National Swim Coach; Rochelle Pierre and Swimmer Sydelle Johnson have been selected to join fellow teammate and coach; Mosi Denoon on the Trinidad and Tobago Pan American Masters Swim Team 2022. The team is bound for the Pan-American Masters Swimming Championships carded for July 2022 in Medellin, Colombia.
 
Pierre and Johnson, coached by Denoon, gave stellar performances at the Pan-American Masters Swim Trials which was hosted by Trinidad and Tobago Aquatics on March 19, 2022 at the National Aquatic Centre in Balmain, Couva. Pierre swam enthusiastically at the event and will now be setting her sights on the 50-meter Freestyle and the 50-meter Butterfly events at the upcoming Championships. Johnson was also in stunning form during the trials and is set to compete in the 100-meter Breaststroke and the 50-meter Breaststroke events in July as well.
 
Denoon secured his spot for the team at the ASATT National Age Group Long Course Championships in February 2022. He expressed pride that both athletes swam extremely well at the recently concluded trials. Denoon went on add however, that the “real work” starts now and the swimmers are scheduled to resume rigorous training as preparation kicks into high gear for the Pan-American Masters Swimming Championships.
