Pitt send best wishes Tobago Pan Am teams

Six (6) of Tobago’s most promising track and field athletes form part of the 15-member team currently participating in the U20 Athletic Pan American Championship in San Jose, Costa Rica. Tyriq Horsford, Ayla Stanisclaus, Kymoy Noray, Justin Guy, Tatianna Martinez and Kelsey Daniel are set to represent Trinidad and Tobago during the event, which is carded to run from July 18th-21st. They will be joined by Tobagonian official coach Arlon Morrison.

Shortly thereafter, ninety-eight (98) athletes from eighteen (18) sporting disciplines, along with 50 officials, will head to Lima, Peru, to represent this country at the 2019 Pan American Games from July 26th to August 11th. Seven (7) Tobago athletes have made the track and field contingent of the team. They are: Kel­ly Ann Bap­tiste, Se­moy Hack­ett, Dwight St. Hillaire, Akan­ni His­lop, An­dewelle Wright, Shakeil Wait­he, and Ay­la Stan­sclaus. Ar­lon Mor­ris­on is again listed as an official and Karielle De Bique is the Physiotherapist.

Speaking on their achievement, Assemblyman Jomo Pitt, Secretary of Sport and Youth Affairs, “I encourage our athletes to use these meets as an opportunity to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Good luck and God’s speed to our teams as they continue to make us proud at home and abroad.”
