Shaw Park to get sporting upgrades

Tobago’s most notable sporting facility, Shaw Park Recreation ground is set to get an uplift with the construction of a new Administrative Complex. Demolition has begun on the old Sport Offices to make way for a new building that will include the Office of the Technical Director of Sport, conference rooms, meetings rooms to be used by sporting bodies and VIP viewing area. The Tennis Court are also scheduled for an upgrade in 2019. Also, in Scarborough is the new the change room facilities at Jubilee Park, Sangster’s Hill. This facility will provide a clean, safe, secure, and comfortable area for sportsmen, sportswomen, and sporting officials, to change into their sporting gear and store personal items during the course of sporting activities.

The facility takes the form of a single-storey bathroom and change room, locker area and covered access for athletes the design includes accessibility for the differently abled.

Apart from that, it provides public toilet facilities for individual taking part in recreational activities in the area.
