Officials at the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport hit the ground running on Thursday January 13 with visits to multiple facilities on the island. Secretary; Terance Baynes, Assistant Secretary; Wane Clarke, Administrators; Dereck Bosland and Suresh Dookhoo, Technical Director of Sport; Lyndell Hoyte-Sanchez, Facilities Manager; Derek Dickinson and Building and Maintenance Unit Coordinator; Neil Alleyne conducted this activity.

The contingent visited the Hope Recreation Ground, Glamorgan Community Centre, Louis D’or Recreation Ground, Charlotteville Recreation Ground and the site of the Bacolet Indoor Sporting Facility to tour current works and to begin preliminary assessments for upcoming projects. These facilities will be targeted to improve access and increase the benefit to stakeholders across Tobago.

The visit followed Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), Farley Augustine’s announcement last Sunday (January 9, 2022) highlighting key areas of focus for the first quarter of 2022.
