Students at the Bishop’s High School got the opportunity to learn about the different careers in Sport both locally and internationally. The Department of Sport participated in the School’s annual Career Day. This year, the booth focused on ‘making learning fun’, while informing students of different sporting careers.
The presentation, attracted a number of students who eagerly participated in the practical activities. While there, students were privy to learn about services offered at the Division, sporting careers and the necessities needed to get into a specific sporting profession. Bishop’s High also ensured to include a presentation segment which featured former National Athlete and member of staff at the DSYA, Makan Hislop. Hislop provided students with a motivational speech about getting into non-traditional careers.
The career day was held on 5th March at the school’s compound.
