The Division of Sport and Youth Affairs will be hosting a second edition of a Disaster Preparedness and Management Workshop which will ensure that youth aged 18-29 understand their role in actively mitigating and taking control of emergency situations. As a result, more families and by extension communities, will have the capacity to adequately respond in the face of a disaster.
The workshop will be facilitated by the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and is targeted towards the empowerment of individuals on the ground in North-side Tobago. The sessions will feature lectures, in addition to interactive presentations, designed to equip persons with the necessary information and skills. The topics that will be covered include: Shelter Management, Chainsaw Operation and Radio Operation.
